I wish all those people in Haiti, be they inhabitants, visitors and rescuers good luck. And mostly to all those people that are missing relatives and loved ones.

I keep looking for news from Haiti and all I can see is horrendous pain and grief. It's unbelievably saddening. I'd like to do more than just send money for relief (done that) and post this image. Isn't there something I could do besides go outside and scream?

All the images and stories from Haiti make our own life's foibles seem insignificant.
God Bless the people in Haiti and all the relief and rescue workers who so selflessly jump to the aid of people in need. |

Like any disaster, you do what you can.
When Hurricane Katrina hit my area, I was still employed. Had a roof over my head. We collected clothes, food, toys, and water at work. But I noticed we hadn't collected anything for kids to play with. I found some coloring books and crayons and took them to my employer's distribution center. I was told I was the only one who thought of that. They tried to find more, but it was all gone. They had collected some toys, but mostly items that required a place to play. The coloring books were something the kids could do in a minimal amount of room. |

finding your best charity of choice can be daunting. with Search and Rescue Dogs I've gone into areas hit by tornadoes and earthquakes. that has always been my comtribution. from the sidelines, since SAR Dogs are my thing, I will contribute to them
