Oh and yes, I knew you got a warning first. Since some posters have gotten that warning letter and one poster got one two years in a row and Amazon has NOT closed that account. |

That article is more directed at sellers on Amazon rather than buyers. I hope Amazon does crack down on rogue sellers, and there are many that need to be booted out. As far as buyers go, any retail store whether B&M or e-commerce can stop selling to you if you cross a threshold they have for returns. Too many or too costly returns will likely get your account frozen. Nothing new about that practice and Amazon is FAR from the first retail store to use that practice. I don't blame them, I would do the same if I owned a store and some customers constantly returned items.
I also note the bias of the article's author identifies himself as a lawyer for Amazon sellers. He has a a clear bias, so take what he says with a grain of salt. In the USA about the only people considered sleazier than a lawyer are used car salesmen! |
