Hebräische Buchstaben (oder - eigenen Font einbinden)

Hallo

Ich hab neulich ein ebook (epub) bekommen, das 2 hebräische Buchstaben enthält. Allerdings ist das Problem, daß die hebräischen Buchstaben als Bild-Dateien drin sind. Zum einen ist einer der Buchstaben falsch, und zum anderen bin ich nicht so der Freund von Buchstaben-Bildern. Immerhin ändern die ja nicht die Größe, wenn man die Schriftgröße ändert ...

Zuerst habe ich das komplette epub zurück in html konvertiert. Ich hab dann ein wenig rumgesucht und hab dann einen einfachen Weg gefunden: html-Unicode. Ich hab die 2 hebräischen Buchstaben rausgesucht und als html Code eingetragen:

Im Firefox funktioniert das auch problemlos, die Buchstaben werden richtig dargestellt. Ich hab die html-Datei dann mit Calibre umgewandelt. Mit dem ebook-viewer von Calibre funktioniert es problemlos, also hab ich sie auf mein Bebook hochgeladen. Aber da kamen statt der hebräischen Buchstaben nur Fragezeichen.

Liegt das am ADE oder eher am Bebook selbst? Gibt es ne einfache Möglichkeit, solche Sonderzeichen einzufügen?

Ich hab mir aber auch so noch weiter Gedanken gemacht: Ich hab im englischen epub-Forum was darüber gelesen, daß man Fonts ins epub einbinden kann - wenn sie auf dem Gerät drauf sind. Kann man eine font-Datei auch so einfügen, daß sie im epub drin ist? Also wenn ich das ebook weitergebe will ich nicht noch extra den Font dazu mitgeben müssen.

Ich hoffe ihr könnt mir helfen.

Wie ist denn die html codiert? Als UTF-8 oder ISO-8859-1? Siehe auch hier.

Probier's statt א also mal mit &_#_1488; und statt ב mit &_#_1488;

Aber ohne die beiden _-Unterstriche!!! Wenn ich es ohne die schreibe, werden Alef und Bet nämlich gleich korrekt hier angezeigt ...

Hoffe, es klappt. Ich hatte ein ähnliches Problem mal mit dem griechischen Alphabet.

Codiert ist die Datei als UTF8. Ich probier mal die anderen Codes - aber nicht mehr heute, sonst komme ich gar nicht mehr ins Bett.

so, ich hab jetzt schnell eine kleine html Datei gemacht, aber weder mit Hex-Codes, noch mit Dezimal-Codes hatte ich Erfolg.

So wie ich das im Internet gelesen habe, liegt das wohl an ADE. Jetzt ist natürlich die Frage, ob sich das ändern würde, wenn ich einen Font ins epub einfüge. Aber mit dem Font einfügen muß ich mich erst mal näher befassen, ich hab das noch nie gemacht.
