Where the Foxgloves Bloom by Deborah Smith is the 1st in her Roan and Claire series of f/m Southern contemporary romance novellas, which continue the story told in her novel A Place to Call Home, free courtesy of publisher Bell Bridge Books' Belle Rabbit imprint.

NB: There are some reviewer complaints that this seems to be a serialized story rather than a standalone installment, but it's free for a limited time so you might as well not pay for it if it's that disappointing, and if you liked the novel, you may be interested in following up on the characters anyway. YMMV.

Also, I'm not too sure about the romantic comedy part since the reviewers don't mention it being particularly humorous, but that's where Amazon's filed it, so YMMV again.
