How about adding some 'Search and Replace' functions for editing metadata?

For instance, I have a load of books titled 'Doc Savage:' and the book name. It'd be nice to be able to search for 'Doc Savage:' in Metadata and have it replace it with 'DS:' and things like that.

Also some simple things like removing all caps in metadata and capitalizing the first letter of each word ect.

Use Search + Bulk edit of metadata (click the little arrow next to the edit metadata button) While it wont allow you to do search and replace of parts of titles, it willallow you to replace the whole thing.

That doesn't really help. I have 181 Doc Savage novels... Just to use those as an example.

Ah well in that case, unless you're willing to do a little scripting, there's no easy way to accomplish this.

Yeah, I suck at coding really. I just thought this might be something that'd be nice in a future version of Calibre.
