Error with RTF Conversion

I get a lot of errors trying to convert RTF to LRF in Calibre. Generally, I have to convert the RTF to HTML first. Otherwise I love the program.

The file is edited and saved as RTF in Word 2007.

That's a new error, attach one of these files. But if you're suing Word, just save as HTML instead of RTF

I know I can generally do it with converting to HTML first, but I've heard that adds a lot of "junk" to the file?

I'm not sure I know what you mean when you say to attach the file. Do you mean here within the thread? It is a copyrighted book. Is that OK? Do you want me to send it to you?

The junk will be in the RTF as well. The junk is a function of using Word. Attach the file to a ticket in the calibre website
