Bought a PRS-300!
Hi. I am new to ereaders and after looking around a bit I finally bought a PRS 300. And well, e-ink is awesome! It definitely looks like paper and the fact that I can carry so much reading material with me in a very portable form factor is mind blowing!
The only "disappointment" is that reading my technical books (I am a programmer) is not very feasible on this small display but I knew that before buying so not surprising. I hope cheap 9.7'' displays come out soon that will allow me to read technical papers and books (usually PDFs with lots of figures and various column arrangements). But still, overall a very exciting product! I hope ereaders become more popular! |

That's great ! Enjoy !
My 300 is being shipped right now... looking forwards to it after taking so long to decide. Try downloading news in Calibur with RSS to your 300 !! It's really convenient. |

Calibre seconded, and I hope you'll love your 300 as much as I do.
Indeed, it is not suitable for technical documents, but it is absolutely great for romans and so. |

Trying calibre, but it seems a bit sluggish for some reason (on a pretty good desktop).

I recommend getting a PSP data/power cable for your new toy. It is the only cable you'll need for loading books and charging reliably and quickly from any usb port.
