From what I read it's the same as the iLiad 2nd edition minus the wifi and lan connection options. Plus is the price that comes down to 499 Euro.

But you get WLAN access, while the new one hasn't got one.

I really do not need that. Specially when it costs €150. The new one also seems to support 8GB SD cards!

Long story short: Changes I can see:

* WLAN removed
* silver instead of black casing
* 150€ less in price.
* 50 free books preinstalled.

Marketing technical not a bad move from iRex.

If I'd be them I'd over a WACOM-less version also but with a more useable navigation-keys. Too bad the iPod like turn-wheel is highly likely patented And upwards I'd also offer some 3MHz edition, that can connect to some cellphone stuff to compete with Amazons whispernet.. And complete it with a supreme deluxe editions, for e.g. academic market, or people who just have the money, like primary larger screen, better WACOM pen preinstalled.A better WACOM tablet with less gap etc. this supreme deluxe editions could even cost 1000€... Its common marketing knowledge that adding a supreme-anything into your portfolio will also increase the buys on the lower end, so while it itself is hardly sold it brings in quite some money.

Where did you buy it?

With internet purchases you should have at least a 7 days right on return. 30 days if you were not informed of your 7 days of your return right.

Same, you should be able to return it, if you do not want the WIFI.

have you spotted the deliberate mistake?

the lightweight version weighs 435gram, whereas the heavyweight weighs in at 389

so wifi card actually reduces weight
... more seriously, wonder if this is a mistake, or a change in battery?
