Newspapers are desperate to get customers. I for one will never subscribe to a magazine or newspaper ever again. I have the internet and the content I'm interested in is free.
Get a Nexus 7 for just £50 when you subscribe to The Times |

Not a bad deal, but I don't want a physical newspaper. I would rather get it digitally.

Minimum 18-month contract for the Digital Edition of the Times/Sunday Times, payable at £17 per month, plus your £50 for the Nexus means a total of £360. Although you can gift it to someone for a one-off payment of £299.

How does that digital subscription compare to the printed version? If you are already a fan of the Times, wouldn't it be a good deal?

If that is the case I completely agree.
If they had shipped a nexus 7 to Sweden and could get the Times for 18 months I would actually take it under serious consideration. |

The digital version of The Times for iPad just went free on weekdays. You only pay for the weekend edition now.
Even so, The Guardian, which is only $12 a year for a digital subscription (!), is a much better paper and a much better deal. |
