As for the kindle being overpriced, it's overpriced in the same way that Apple gear is: they make very polished gear which has many features (wireless, 3g) and does not cut corners so charge a premium for it.

If you think an iPod Touch is not overpriced, then you just don't get it. Apple's iPod may look nice, but overall, it's not as good as it could be. And Apple charges a lot because they get away with it. People pay the price without realizing how overpriced it is.

Most of the Kindle's cost is the screen. Granted it is expensive now. But I do expect prices to drop someday.

I thought this interview was great. Jeff was having fun, Jon Stewart was hilarious as always. Jeff was right - this was like no other interview he'd done before. But in a good way.
