battery drain with Dxi and 2.5

Hi,

My DXi upgraded to 2.5 and sofar I have been very happy with it.
The only thing I thought I noticed was that the battery was draining much more rapidly. First I thought it was because of the extended playing with the new features, but now I think it is real.
Twice now I have had to use the loader. The last time I filled the battery, put the DXi to sleep and waited for a day or two (network off as always).
When I checked this morning the battery was 1/4 down.
This is not wat it was before !! I could put it to sleep for weeks without noticing any drain.
Someone else noticing this or is it just me?

Cheers,

Jan

I am "consuming" my PDF's like hell since the 2.5 update and i experienced no bigger battery drain then before the update. Did you reset your device? I always reset my devices (HTCs, cellphones, ...) several times after firmware updates i have the impression that always helps for "strange" behaviours.

I will try resetting it.
If it doesn't solve the problem, I am going back to 2.3.
Very very sorry about all the goodies though.
By the way, does anybody know a way to conserve your collections when I may go back to a better version of 2.5 in the near future? It was a lot of work tagging all the books I have.

Maybe this is the cause of the battery drain in which case it'd be temporary. I guess it's possible the new tagging system may require some re-indexing.

Just a thought.

I don't think it will still be re-indexing after a week or so. Yesterday without reading anything it was already down to 50% !
Yesterday I resetted it (causing it to loose all my collections btw !!), reloaded the battery to full, and put it to sleep (wireless off).
If tonight there is battery drainage, I will return to 2.3 (having lost my collections anyway)
I put the matter to Amazon, see if they respond in any way...

resetting did it !

This morning the battery was still full after resetting the previous evening !
Seems like the resetting worked after all. It even preserved a test collection I had made. Thanks for the tip Sischa!
Now I only have to reinstall all my previous collections
