I’ve collected eight short stories by Gogol, plus an essay on Gogol by William Lyon Phelps.

Most (possibly all) of the translations are by Isabel Hapgood. The sources were PG, Wikisource etc.

Roy White has posted some of these stories, though in a version without paragraph breaks. This version has paragraph breaks, curly quotes, a TOC etc. But Roy’s has illustrations.

I was wondering if it is possible to keep this as "work in progress" in the sense of adding more and more short stories by Gogol to next versions of this file.
