Way to read opf in calibre viewer

Besides my reading device, have stored some of my opf files in m PC and i would like to know how can i allow calibre reader to open them directly without making any entries to its database as i see whenever i open opf, calibre makes entries to database. I just want to view the stored opf files without making any entries.

I will appreciate an answer

OPF are text files
You can view them with any basic text editor , but a XML viewer (parses) will make it easier to read (it is still XML code view)
