same catalogue across different OS

Due to my laptop giving up the ghost, i am currently using calibre portable on an external hard drive, connecting with a netbook running winXP and my desktop running win Vista.

I am thinking about getting a laptop running Linux but will i have any problems with my catalogue, it has taken mr ages to get it how i wanted it, custom columns, plug-ins etc.
