Did you turn it on with the power switch after plugging it back in? If the back is warm, it's probably charging.

Thanks for your suggestion,
I just came back home after 2 hrs, driving in heavy traffic Friday's night.

First thing, I feel the warm in the back of e-ink still (after 2 hrs. I have pull out the power)
I have tried to re-insert the battery and press the power on.

Luckily, the EE came out with FULL CHARGE. ?????

ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what's going on. (I have done the same thing for 2 hrs at works.)

If you are having battery issues, or the eDGe does not power on when you press the power key:

Remove AC power and pull the battery out. Replace the battery and insert the AC adapter. You should see the power LED start blinking green to indicate it is charging. Pressing the power key at this point will turn the power LED solid green and the eDGe will boot.

The EE battery charges to 100% in ~2hours so long as you stay above ~5% charge. If you truly exhaust a battery by using it until the eDGe forces a power off, then leaving it in the eDGe (because the low level power control circuitry is still running) for a long period of time without a charge, it can take up to 12 hours to go from 0 to 100%. It takes about 10 hours to trickle charge an exhausted battery to get it up to an acceptable level (~5%) to ensure we do not damage the battery. Once we hit 5%, we can charge the rest of the battery very quickly. This is something to keep in mind if you experience the EE taking an abnormal amount of time to charge.

Are these battery charging facts in the Support Q&A? I didn't find it. The care and feeding of the battery should be a Support/Q&A item and/or a Sticky post here in the forum help section.

I'm usually discharge the battery down to 7%... charge time after that is about 2.5 - 3hours.
p.s. and it was unable to discharge the battery below 7% for me.

Great tips on better battery care. Definitely keep those in mind, especially the part about keeping it above 5%. Thanks!

Would it not be nice if we could see the % in the battery-icon on the home-screen, like we could in the download-arrow after the last update?

I use the power time App for that. It has a widget, shows power % left and how long your battery will last. Works great.

There are quite a few widgets that add an estimate power (and some even time) remaining. I haven't reloaded the one that I had been using yet (I erased all my data prior to sending into enTourage to replace the camera) and I don't recall precisely what it was called, but I think that I found it on SlideMe.org.

Can you, or somebody else, put the data for this in the tread: APKs, started by Snow. It is nice to find the workable one's there. Thank you.

I added a link for a battery widget like you asked to apks. I couldn't find the one I use but this is very close.
