Fried Sony?

So yesterday I went to upload a couple books to my PRS-500 (about 3-4 years old?). My laptop was off, but I went ahead and plugged in my usb drive and the Sony, then booted. Once it booted, the Sony wouldn't connect. After a minute, I get the Windows error that a USB port has used more than its share of power. I'm assuming that I've fried the Sony. Once I unplugged it, the computer worked fine, including the port. But the Sony won't boot. I left it charged overnight and still no signs of life. The light doesn't flick, indicating boot, and there's no connection when plugged into the laptop. I tried resetting as well. Any other trips to bring it back up?

And try a different USB port. Also use a port that's on the computer itself, not a device that's connected through but also has a USB port, like some keyboards or monitors. Good luck.

If that fails look on the bright side and get yourself a new 350 or 650, they are really really cool.

Tried different USB/Computer. No difference. The Sony won't power on at all.
