Scribbles and Jpgs

I keep reading in various forums that you cannot scribble on image files. I was sure you could and as I've just got my reader back again, here is a scribbled & merged jpg file to prove it

No, I just chose the jpg in the Companion software (Windows), picked the Merge option and voila.
No issues, I have done this occasionally on and off since I got the reader, just infrequently as I normally use a MAC at home but a PC in the office. I'll have to see if the MAC merging software is only for pdfs.

The jpg was straight out the camera, into the DR1000, opened and scribbled and straight into the Companion software for merging.

Hmm, I'll have to give that a try (not using Windows much) It's true that the only image format I tried it with was PNG, not jpeg...
