please help

I have a blackberry curve 8310 and have been using Mobipocket reader for quite some time now without any problems. I recently decided to try mobi creator to try and convert some of my PDFs to mobi so i can read them on my device. my problem is that i can't get the thing to convert them to .mbp format. does anyone know what i can do or what other formats mobipocket reader will accept? please help! i'm so frustrated but i don't want to give up.
