A liter of tonic water with a quarter cup of lemon juice added, and two packets of sweetener. In the UK you can buy lemon flavored tonic water, but not over here in the US. I liked it so much that now I'm making my own.
Warning: you must mix them in a container bigger than the liter bottle, cuz you need room for it to fizz up! Then you can pour it back into the liter bottle, and drink the last mouthful that doesn't quite fit back in (the 1/4 cup of lemon makes it no longer fit). I learned that the hard way, and lost a full cup of liquid onto the counter when it fizzed over and out of the bottle! |

Hotel coffee. But at least decent hotel coffee.
Today is going to be crazy busy, but so far looks more promising than yesterday. And, at least, I'll be home again tonight with my puppies, my cat, and my sweetie. |

Heineken.
Also working away from home, in Paris - so it's expensive Heineken! |

Ah, finally back home and settling back in. I really don't travel as well as I used to!
Drinking a new (to me) tea -- Huang Da Cha. Peet's had it all summer, describing it as "a perfect winter tea", but then when I went to order my year's supply of Lion Mountain Keemun, I saw it was still available and took a chance on it. A strange tea -- a bit of smokiness, a bit of sour, and an earthiness that I almost associate with some Pu Erhs. I can see why they suggested it as a winter tea. Not sure if I like it or not. Will have to try it a bit to see if it grows on me. |

Green Snail Spring. Letting it steep more has helped but still not a favorite

Almost home too, well, in the UK and on the train from London to Birmingham. Should actually be home about 11:30.
Tea, whatever brand Virgin trains serve, in my cup. |

Has anyone tried the new Canadian Club 100% rye whiskey? I fear it may be too 'smooth' and finished. I like a good 'rough' rye whiskey, but stopped drinking CC in my 20's.
