Yes it does, though I find these lines much less obtrusive than the sony logo and the name of the device down below the screen (putting text logos on a text reader - bad karma). Tape might work, but as I mentioned above, I generally cover all logos and unnecessary text on all devices (phones, etc - and of course the reader) with nail polish. It lasts almost forever because, unlike nails, this surface is inflexible. Tape will get gooey after a while.

On the blue 505, the Sony name at the top is not as raised or shiny as it was on the 500.

I don't think you've got the name right:

The Sherman Act was an "antitrust" law enacted in the 1880s to limit the power of monopolies and cartels.

I'll take some photos of my 505 either today or Monday. Probably Monday as I can do so easier outdoors in the sunlight and not need to have a reflective flash.

Hmmmm. This is the law that says, basically, someone can't void your warranty because you're using off-brand consumables. It may apply to what I was thinking of; it may not. I'll dig a little more tomorrow to see if I can find what it was I was thinking of.

Silver

I just bought the silver, with the Tan cover it looks alot more classy..I know everyone's favorite color is Blue, and it is mine also, but Silver looks much more Classy, kinda like Chrome, and the Tan cover could not be a better cover color. If it was leather it would be perfect.

I had a prs-505 silver with tan cover, and I don't think the blue sides make much of a difference.

But it is an optical illusion after all, and the effects will vary depending on the user's psychology.

I'd go for the silver prs-505 with dark blue leather cover, the silver looks very futuristic, and the dark blue cover gets rid of the diaryish feeling I got with my tan covered prs-505.
