Presence of com.apple.ibooks.display-options.xml breaks Readium?
I am building an ePub3 book, and without knowing exactly what I was doing decided to try adding a com.apple.ibooks.display-options.xml file to META-INF. In Readium, however, this caused this book to not display at all. Is that expected behavior, a bug in Readium, or something else?

Actually I would never call it a bug in Readium. It is a file that is not for ePUB3, but specifically for iBooks.
Then again, it should not choke on it. Are you sure the file is fine otherwise? |

Liz Castro created a Manga sample epub3 with an com.apple.ibooks.display-options.xml file in the META-INF folder that opens fine with Readium.
Most likely there's something wrong with your com.apple.ibooks.display-options.xml file. Did you make sure that it's syntactically valid and did you save it as an UTF-8 file without a byte order mark (BOM) and no line breaks after the last line? |
