FBReader? Is anyone working on a port?

'Cause FBReader's my primary reader on WinXP and I really like it - a lot.

It is frustrating that a Linux-based software e-book reader like FBReader can't run on Linux-based hardware e-book readers. There was a similar thread on FBReader's google group recently: Does FBReader support Nuut or Cybook ebook devices?. The bottom line is that first there needs to be a SDK (software development kit). So far only the iLiad provides one, and that took a long time to put in place on a device that is much closer to the Linux mainstream than the Sony Reader.

Sorry to resurrect an ancient thread, but I was wondering if anyone has since given porting FBReader a go? We have a dictionary app and a game for the Sony reader, so it would seem it's possible to write at least some apps for the device. And obviously FBReader would be great, giving access to a much wider range of formats directly on the device.

Working for the Sony Reader is very hard as the main application isn't open. Plus, restoring the 505 seems damn hard.

IMHO, if a port of FBreader was to happen, it will be as a part of an OpenInkpot release, not before.
