Question Mac GUI problem

This is a problem that existed back a couple of dozen versions ago. It was fixed and it has come back.

If I run Calibre (last fiver or six versions at least am currently running 7.3) and minimize it to the dock, I cannot get it to reopen no matter how many times I click the dock icon. If I go to the menu and click preferences, the preferences will come up but when I exit, the program shuts down. If I reopen the program everything is fine until it minimizes to the dock again.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks. Any way to get it to live on the dock and pop back after a minimize?
