Display of Hanging Indents

Hanging indents are very useful in formatting books. The problem is that Book Designer, Internet Explorer, and Firefox will not display them. So when using them, the HTML must be compiled into a book and if the results are not what were expected the HTML must be re-edited and the book re-compiled until the output is satisfactory.

So, unless I have been doing something wrong, does anyone know of a browser which will display the hanging indent. It would sure be nice.

Many thanks,
Charlie

Browsers will display hanging indents if the HTML is right. E.g., something like:

Code:
<style type="text/css">
p.hangingindent
{
     padding-left: 2em;
     text-indent: -2em;
}
</style>
<p class="hangingindent">A paragraph with hanging indent goes here.</p>
Works in all modern browsers, as far as I know. I don't know anything about Book Designer.
