All our first world problems may soon be solved. Apple will be announcing something on Oct16, and the graphic in the invite hints to stylus support!!!

I must say the graphic didn't scream stylus at me, but why not.

It did nit me, then I saw that others had the same idea, but they even read pressure sensitivity into the image
Of course, since that's all I care about in a new iPad, my perception may be very biased. |

Someone also said it looked like the Finder guy's mouth and nose.

It's a close crop on the upper portion (top of apple, bottom of leaf) of a colourized outline version of the Apple logo --- I'd like to see a stylus in it, and for Apple to _finally_ make a successor to my Newton MessagePad.
Features which are non-negotiable in my searching for a replacement: - daylight viewable display - stylus w/ good OS support - ability to run arbitrary applications w/o needing to worry if they're acceptable to Apple's App Store I'm about to give up on my ThinkPad X61 running Vista and go back to my Fujitsu Stylistic ST-4121. |

FlorenceArt, yes. That's the graphic. I see a stylus in it and I stay by it, darn it!
WillAdams, maybe the Newton has been "way too long" ago! Maybe they'll announce an iPad Newton or something. Hmmm. |

The only issue that I have with it is that because of the POV tip it can be a bit noisy when I take notes in meetings. The thing I like most about it, is that it requires absolutely no pressure (unlike the Joy Factory/Lynktec stylus with hard rubber tip). |
