My brother deleted all the pictures and videos on his memory card. They were quite important (with pictures and videos of our Great Grandmas 100th birthday) if he has to we will pay for a program that says it will get them back but it's a bit expensive, so does anyone know of some free software that will bring them back? Thanks

It might depend on what he did to "delete" them but you could try Recovery Pro.

Good luck

I've used PhotoRec in the past. Great program.

I'd be wary of random windows-only freeware from a quick websearch. Particularly in case it turns out to be ransomware!

Pandora File Recovery did a great job on recovering 800 from my 900 photos I deleted by accident, after my stay in New York. it's free and does a good job. the other photo' s I didn't retrieve were overwritten. Good luck

I recommend Piriform's free Recuva software. Download it from http://www.piriform.com/recuva or http://www.filehippo.com/download_recuva.

Thanks we solved the problem, pandora only worked for the pictures. So he just ended up buying the program.
