3G USB Modem

Has anyone managed to get 3G USB modem to work with Ermine?

I tried Huawei E1762, it does not work with PocketEdge running Ermine

I downgraded to Dingo and tried with the same USB modem, 3G connection worked flawlessly .. it seems the issue is with Ermine, not the USB modem.

Now, reverting back to Ermine ..

Ermine is that much better that you don't mind giving up the use of your 3G USB modem??

Still debating the upgrade . . . .

For me, yes Ermine is much better than Dingo .. faster both on ereader and tablet, hibernation settings, cleaner icon and display, android 2.2 - which can install apps not compactible with android 1.6 e.g. HD Dolphin Browser

I see both of you stjoe and Filark use the Pocket eDGe. Does anyone know if USB 3G sticks work with Ermine on the full-size eDGe?

Sad to hear it. This feature proved very useful to me at times on Dingo.

Do you know how to make such hybrids?

I have some brief experience in this question.
It is possible to use as a kernel. Absence of SDK is strongly complicates this operation.
