The BBC has an article today about the use of reCAPTCHAs by Carnegie Mellon University researchers to resolve OCR ambiguities:

It's not exactly breaking news, but it's a decent overview of the method involved. Maybe Baen could sign on to using this to help get their backlist online.

I don't think that will be a problem. Baen is a smallish publisher less than 30 years old. They don't have much of a backlist.
