Samsung 7.7 inch Tablet
This seems interesting:
http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/01/s...-display-dual/ seems like a tablet I will be interested. Specs are: Display - 7.7-inch super AMOLED OS - Android 3.2 (TouchWiz UX) processor - dual-core 1.4GHz processor storage - 16GB to 64GB Battery - 5,100mAh rated for 10 hours Unless they ask for more than 400 this (which is very likely), I am interested in it. din |

Looks nice. 7.7" seems like a good size.

It's gonna be super expensive, though, I'm guessing.

After seeing HTC's pricing, anything will seem reasonable at this point
Edit: of course, after HP's fire sale, maybe nothing seems reasonable at this point! Last edited by kjk; 09-01-2011 at 11:24 AM. |

Maybe they're going after RIM's BlackBerry Playbook as it's in the same size range and satisfies the needs of those in the iPad-Is-Too-Big camp.
And, AMOLED = awesome. I bet a lot of current tablet owners will be thinking of switching to this just for that AMOLED. |

I read on Ars Technica this morning that they're also going to do a 5.3" screen device that is designed to use a stylus input for notetaking. I have a Tab 10.1, and it's a nice piece of tech.

This new 7.7 inch tablet weighs 335 grams/11.8 ounces. Put in perspective the kindle 3 weighs 240 grams/8.5 ounces.

I don't think they are going to ask for more than $400. Maybe a little more |

Yes, but the Kindle is a single-purpose device (despite allowing some web browsing as an extra). It doesn't have a lot of things internally that a tablet normally does, and the screen type is both a lot larger and a different material (and thus heavier).
