About to go downstairs to eat breakfast.
Today's weather prediction is good, it's already sunny, so I'm going to visit the zoo today. But it's still very cold, 4C, I'm going to take it easy and wait until it's a bit warmer before going. |

Editing some photos I took during yesterday's walk into town. This was shot from the N.W. corner of the 'Old City,' showing the moat that surrounds the city and the remains of the old city wall.

Preparing to go to the Keukenhof with my family today. I copied all my photographs to my computer so I have enough space on my SD card to take a lot of pictures. The weather is supposedly going to be okay; not a lot of sun but dry and around 17C.
For tomorrow I've planned to print all the pictures I took in the past week and have a Project Life session to put them all into my album. |

Watching Netflix. I keep intending to finish the first season of The Following but Netflix keeps recommending old time favourites of mine. This weekend I've watched The Shining, The Silence of the Lambs and now I'm watching Se7en.

Being cautiously optimistic about the outcome of the Family Thing.
Almost two years ago there was a fire next door and our house filled with smoke. After almost two months of cleaning we opened the store again and it looked like life was slowly returning to normal again. Then the Family Thing started (will go into detail when it really is resolved). Since then I've been through very dark periods, but it looks like things are looking up and my uncle is realizing he's in the wrong, or at least realizing that he can't do much else than go our way. Mind you, fifteen months ago it also looked like he was going to give in. Which turned out to be a trick. But now there are a couple of other factors that make us optimistic in the outcome. But you never know with him. In four weeks time he and my father are meeting again to iron out the details. That week it's two years ago that the fire broke out. Hopefully everybody can agree enough to resolve it. After that I don't want to see my uncle ever again. It feels like my life has been on hold for two years. It'll be strange when/if everything is resolved. But until then I'm only hoping and not counting on it. |
