Amazon's now selling more ebooks than paperbacks
Just saw this article:
http://money.cnn.com/2011/01/27/tech...n_bin&hpt=Sbin I knew it was coming. Just didn't think it'd be this soon. |

Interestingly, a number of authors selling their backlist as Kindle and Pubit self-repubs are reporting higher sales at B&N than at Amazon in the last month--and that's been true for me, too. I wonder if that's just a blip, or the beginning of a trend.

Good to hear your backlist doing well (or at least better) for you...

Possibly a bunch of Nookcolor owners looking for books!
Also, I wonder if the lower cost self-pubs are easier to locate on B&N than Amazon? |

Strange that Amazon would be celebrating the potential beginning of the end for a huge sector of their business, namely the paperback

Amazon is celebrating sales in general. They sell everything, not just books. I'm sure they aren't super concerned about their physical market going down as their electronic one goes up.
Is there a program on Amazon similar to the self publishing one on B&N? |
