Karl Alexander?

Has anyone here read Karl Alexander's books "Time after Time" and its sequel "Jaclyn the Ripper"? Both are at Kobo for $7.99 though alas neither seems to work with the perkopolis coupon.

I saw the movie version with Malcolm McDowell as H.G. Wells. It was pretty good. The sequel was written 30 years after the original.

I also have seen the movie. I am wondering how the book compares to it and of course how good the sequel book is.
