Amazon Loaded Up With Pirated Kindle Books

I have already started a thread above

but wanted to throw in a quick note in this forum.

Apparently pirates have loaded up the Kindle store with copies of popular authors previously not available for the Kindle (Rowling, King, Heinlein) - which are being removed as Amazon finds them. Most are listed with a $19.99 price, and have "Amazon Digital Services" listed as the publisher.

So be careful if the book you've been waiting for suddenly appears for $19.99 - it's probably a pirate.

Edit: Some on-going discussion on the Amazon Discussion Boards - one poster claims CS verified the King books as legit - more info as it becomes available. .

Edit: King titles were pirates - now removed.

How bizarre, I thought Amazon would be able to stop it technologically very easily.
