Sorry... I was asleep at the wheel. The Shogunates were:
1. Asuka 2. Kamakura shogunate 3. Kemmu restoration 4. Ashikaga shogunate 5. Tokugawa shogunate My wife only knew two of them. She hated history in school. As for all those silly numbers, I'll recuse myself too, cuz I knew them from photographic corrections. Stitchawl |

One point for Ashikaga.
Tokugawa had already been answered. Kemmu was an imperial restoration, not a Shogunate. Kamakura is a place not a clan. Asuka was not a Shogun. |

I will be off the grid for a few days so I figure I better leave you with the answers.
The Japanese Shogun clans are as mentioned Tokugawa, the last one, Ashikaga, the middle one. And then Stichawl mentioned Kamakura. The clan holding that Shogunate was Minamoto (not Yamamoto, sorry) These are usually the three clans associated with the office of Shogun. Now it becomes a little trickier, there is a reason I asked for five. The Minamoto clan actually only had three Shogun in Kamakura, the rest came from the Hojo clan. Not many people, not even Japanese, think of that. They all assumed the name of Minamoto when taking office, but several of them were just young boys. In other words the Minamoto Shogun was very much akin to the emperor, just a wee puppet. So that is four clans. The fifth is Oomoto, that is actually the first to hold the office of Seii-Taishogun, and it dates back to the Nara period (7th century). Hence, Oomoto was a general serving under the emperor, but we tend to think of a Shogun as the actual dictator of Japan, which is true for the others, hence we forget its origin. As some of you have already figured out, the answer to the second question is 50 Shades of Grey Shall we let Stichawl take it away? I thought someone might figure it from counting the codes. |

Every year a troop of boy scouts suffer fatalities while camping. And every year these fatalities come from the very same source. (Other people also die from this every year too, but you'd think the Boy Scout would know better.)
1. What is this source of fatalities 2. How does it kill them? Stitchawl |

You're on the right track... What plant and how does it kill them? (I don't mean heart attack or brain death.) What do the people do with the plant that causes them to die. By the way... I was thinking about it today... A Brit who doesn't know Tim Tams... Like in the movies when the 'American' doesn't know the words to the National Anthem or who won the 1942 World Series. If this were war time, I'd wonder if you were a spy... Stitchawl |

Is it a poisonous leaf (Poison Ivy?) which they brew up or add to their food, and this then kills them? |

HINT: The answer is in why this plant is mistakenly chosen in the first place... native or naturalized to a broad area from Mauritania, Morocco, and Portugal eastward through the Mediterranean region and the Sahara (where it is only found sporadically), to the Arabian peninsula, southern Asia, and as far East as Yunnan in southern parts of China. It typically occurs around dry stream beds. XXXXXXXXXX is planted in many subtopical and tropical areas of the world. On the East Coast of the US, it can be planted as far north as Virginia Beach, Virginia, while in California and Texas it is naturalized as a median strip planting Stitchawl |
