Robert B. Parker ebook for only $.99!
I'm sad that the Spenser series has come to an end, but I'm really enjoying going back and re-reading all of them, and there are a lot! The fourth book in the series, Promised Land, is really good and only $.99 at Copia. It's also the only book in the series to win an Edgar Award for best book. Hope you enjoy it too! Link is below:

promised land was the first spenser novel i ever read, and while for me the later ones are better, this one is well worth a read.

Love to get this - but Copia doesn't like me at all, refuses to co-operate, and I've more or less given up.

Ghost writers for a dead author? Who are they hiring? Dickens? Doyle? Christie?

I'm glad there might be more Spenser novels, but it's also just not the same when you think ghostwriters doing all the work. I know a lot of big authors use them now, but it loses some of its' authenticity. Ah well, I'll give it a shot anyway if there are more

the reason i said "oh, dear" is that i believe this writer wrote the original jesse stone movies, and they seemed to me to completely lose the flavor of the characters. maybe he'll do better in writing a novel...
