he means "if you think it's a bug"
if that's the sentence you are referring to.

It is a bug. When totally zoomed out on a landscape orientated page (or zoom to fit to width or fit to height) your not able to scroll through the page to the non visual part. In this case you should be able to scroll through in one direction only,
• vertical scroll (when fit to width zoom)
• horizontal scroll (when fit to height)

If you zoom in one notch you're able to scroll, but then the page doesn't fit to the screen neighter neither in vertical or horizontal direction.
To read a page you must scroll in vertical and horizontal direction making it much more uncomfortable.

The same thing happens in portrait mode in cbz file and pdf files too. And we don't normally think it bag in pdf.

I think that zoom in and scroll are temporally use on this device and we can scroll only when we zoom in on cbz and pdf file.

Hi Lucas,

Thank you for contacting Kobo Customer Care. We are glad to help you.

We are sorry to hear you are having this issue.

Please be aware of the following:

1. The Kobo Glo does not have the ability to scroll only turn pages. edit: I clarified I mean scroll = move the image
2. Unfortunately, non-Kobo eBooks are not supported by Kobo technical support, though the device can read them.

Though we do not have the answer you are looking for, it is safe to assume the book is not specifically formatted for this device. It may be possible to search online the methods to re format the book to fit the Glo.
And my nasty curiosity discovered that on Kobo site Kobo Glo does not have anymore the list of supported file formats, despite they had it some days ago, as Google cache prove.

I hope I'm wrong.

EDIT: and I was wrong, see posts from #28 to #31.

I added a simple testcase in the first post.

I just checked the Kobo site and the list is still there. Looks identical to the one in the Google cache you posted.

Weird and wonderful....

Technical support said to you that the Kobo Glo does not have the ability to scroll only turn pages. It is true. We can only scroll when zoom in pdf and cbz.

Don't you try to scroll without zoom in on cbz file?

The agent said that Glo doesn't scroll because (s)he didn't understand what scrolling is.

By the way, if you load the image I attached in this post instead, rotate it and fit the height, you can scroll it. This is because the image has more width than height (you have to rotate it because Kobo rotate it by default)

@DNSB: where? I don't see the list at all. I can see it in every spec of Kobo products but Glo. And anyway this is a list on Kobo's site, that could be modified adding some distinctions. I would add that I didn't found any contractual enforcement about software and support. I actually don' know exactly what Kobo contracted with me.

When I click the link you supplied to the Glo specs page, and that David quoted in his reply, the supported formats are listed as the last line in the table of specs. Comparing it to the Google cache link you gave, I don't see any difference in the page.

Your steps skipped zoom in.

Steps to reproduce:

1. open an image, a cbz or a cbr
2. go to an image higher than larger
3. rotate the image
4. zoom fitting the width (the height will be fitted instead)
5. zoom in
6. try to scroll the image

Without zoom in, no one can scroll in cbz, cbr or pdf. You just forget to zoom in to scroll.

@zztush: don't you get confused with turning page? With scrolling I mean you should be able to move the image.

@davidfor and DNSB: this is very strange, I don't see the list. And I've not taken my acid yet.

I understand what you mean. Without zoom in, no one can scroll (move the image) on Kobo. You try to scroll (move the image) without zoom in on cbz, cbr or pdf files. You just need to put zoom button on, whenever you want to scroll (move the image).
