Recommend some science books ??

Hi,

i have just read and really enjoyed Bill Brysons Short History Of Everything and i would like to know if anyone knows of any books of the same nature and pitched at the same level (not a dry academic tome)

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

cheers,mick.

The Discoverers by Daniel J. Boorstin is very good. Well written, not dry.

Any of Asimov's non-fiction science titles.

I can highly recommend Kaku's Einstein's Cosmos. Best and most understandably book on Einstein's theories I have ever read.
