You've got the 700, which is black and the new 600 is black also. He might not even see the difference since they do look somewhat similar. Just make sure you don't have them both out at the same time.

Unfortunately, my basically honest nature is going to cause me to tell him about it. Otherwise, he probably wouldn't notice right away. He really won't care. When he and I went to the Sony Style store way back when they first came out, I would have bought the 600 after comparing it with my 700 right then and there if they had had any in stock and he was okay with that.

First of all, there are NO chips in the paint on my walls! I should know, I've painted them all with my own hand. Secondly, I don't consider my reader a toy. It is an intellectual tool that I use to improve brain functioning as I get older (that sounds pretty convincing, doesn't it?!?!).

Anyway, I agree with you, Zelda. I liked the optical illusion of the black border but I wish I had been a little more daring and ordered the red. If it had been Shannon, the artist in her would definitely have ordered the red!
