Is it safe to remove the battery and run edge using AC only? Thanks

It's safe, but I don't know that it will work.
I've had both battery and AC adapter issues, so I have had all kinds of configurations trying to deal with my power issues, and I know I have had the device plugged in while the battery is out. It won't damage it to try, but I don't think it will actually turn on. Tell us what happens! |

It worked. I don't need to use the battery especially when reading at home. I hope that it will not damage my unit. Thanks

I wonder if that would actually be good for the battery. I read recently, that for a laptop, if you plan to run mostly on AC, take out the battery. If doing this is OK with enTourage (not bad for the eDGe), then I may do it, too. I never even though about it until this thread, thanks!

Unlike the Ipad the battery is replaceable and reasonably cheap ( compared to a laptop ).
