@Timmy: If your comics are very large to begin with, that's pretty much the best you can expect
@mtutalo: try posting in the custom recipes threads, that's where all the chefs hang out |

Well, i'm trying to convert a .cbz manga (one piece, in fact) for my Kindle 2 (6") .. the conversion goas Ok, but i had a problem with the size of the pages... Is to small, and i dont know why?! i try a fill things to change this.. but any success... the strange thing is... the COVER page is really OK! The size and everything.. but the rest is too small, i cant barely read... Some pics to show what i try to explain: http://twitpic.com/zsq97 (The Cover one) http://twitpic.com/zsqfk (Normal Page) PS. It's a portuguese, by the way. |

Probably those manga pages have white margins, that's why they appear smaller. Removing those margins would be the best option.
Bem vindo. |

Haha, Obrigado @Over !
Well, the best way i found to convert mangá, has the Mangle software (http://foosoft.net/mangle/) because, converts to a folder with .gif images in sequence and i can read in fullscreen on kindle. Maybe has a good idea to add this feature, to convert comics in a folder with images, is easy.. and the calibre is much better for make a workflow with many conversions to do... =D And... i can use on my mac, without need to login on windows () |

It might be what you're converting them into as well. If I convert to .fb2 I get tiny pages, if I convert my manga to .epub, they read just fine. (Mind you, I have no idea if a Kindle can read .epubs...)

A lot of the manga I have are in zip files. When I change the extension to cbz and add them to calibre sometimes they are still recognoized as zip files. Does it matter if the images in the files are png or jpeg? I noticed most of the ones that are showing up as zips have pngs and after I convert them to jpegs, it works. But, doing that for each file is a pain.

That shouldn't happen. Open a ticket and attach one of these zip files that contain PNGs

I opened a ticket. Couldn't directly attach my file. Its 5.01mb, said it was too big. I uploaded it on yousendit. I put the link in the ticket.
Here it is here too. http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.ph...UnJsUjlMWEE9PQ |

The last two releases, when I try to convert .cbz to .epub it won't work. It goes super fast (unlike before, and doesn't say rendering.....png, just the "creating html output") The first page works fine, all the subsequent pages won't work in an external viewer/my ebook reader. I can convert to other formats just fine.

Another user has posted a CBR-CBZ to ePub tool, it works wonderfully and perhaps it would help this part as well.
