Hi!

I need a kindle 3 with broken screen for development purposes. If you are going to throw your broken kindle away, it would be nice if you could send it to me instead. I'll pay the shipping costs.

My Kindle 3 screen failed yesterday, ~3 mos. past warranty. Did wipe/factory reset, no joy. Removed/replaced battery, no joy. Still connects by USB as external drive. Are you still collecting dead devices?

Thanks, rkilings. I do not really need a broken K3 anymore.

Of all the worst things on this world, there is nothing worse than having a broken kindle! Possibly getting leprosy, but a broken kindle is terrible, especially if you really was used to read on it. :/

I was really used to reading on it. I could replace the broken screen, but it's not worth it: for little more than the cost of the part, I could buy a new Kindle Touch, so that is what I did.

I think I will like it better than the Kindle Keyboard -- if Amazon ever comes through with the software updates that the Touch urgently needs.
