Alarm clock
When you're right into a good book, time flies, so a simple alarm function I would have thought would be a must on Kindle.
I have the Kindle KB, is there any way to retro install some kind of alarm? |

How can I define limits to that which I don't understand?
Forget it, thanks anyway. |

Just realised, thanks for the link Thomass, but that's for Kindle Touch isn't it?

"This is a very very very plain alarm clock for KT."
Does that not stand for Kindle Touch? |

If you search MobileRead for KT, you will find that the vast majority of hits are for the Kobo Touch, but cscat meant K5 in the context of this forum. He designed this app for the K5 (which he called a KT back then) because that is what he had to test it on. It is generic and should work on other kindle models as well (such as the K3). |

But I am here to tell you that nearly every *nix system ever built supports crond and crontab. I think it first appeared the second time K&R forgot to take a coffee break. |

The number comes from your firmware major version number. You can find that and other device information in your settings menu. The Kindle Keyboard runs version 3.x firmware, so it is known here as the K3.
