Original kobo 99 dollars
This may be old news but Apparently the original is $99 in stores. It seems to be sold out online.

While quantities last no less, it looks like they are trying to get rid of the old stock

It would seem that the quantities haven't lasted all that long - I tried every chapters within 100km of me and they're all sold out. Ah well, guess I'll just have to trickle down my Kobo to the family and get the new one

I wish they were as cheap in Australia. The Aussie dollar is pretty much parity with the greenback now so even with duties, there is no excuse for the price not to drop.
Yet they are still AU$179, even with the new Ko2 incoming. |

I chatted with the very helpful assistant manager at Angus and Robertson Hobart (Erin is her name, and she is bloody fantastic to deal with) yesterday when i bought the PRS-650 and she knew about the Ko2, the specs and all, but they didn't have an ETA as of yesterday. They also didn't see the price dropping on the original Kobo as of yet. |

You would think the lead-up to Christmas here would be the best time to price drop the Ko1.
