You do know that it was Dylrob who recommended the particular model of combi-microwave oven in the moderator's kitchen, don't you?

Hey! I'm innocent! Look what happened to me after I forgot all my lessons from mama and followed that shadowy figure that was calling to me!
And real life calls to get out and run a couple of errands, but of course I just have to procrastinate and read a few threads first. |

Ah yes, the Gammawave 3000. The best, and only, nuclear powered microwave on the market. |

Wondering how 'Siri' sounds so life-like. And wondering how the program is able to understand everything I say without having to 'teach' it my speech patterns. I remember trying to teach "Dragon Naturally Speaking," reading aloud page after page of words, and still it didn't work 1/10 as well as Siri. Even if I speak in French, German, or Japanese, 'Siri' gets it right. (She loses it completely when I speak Klingon.)

I have the 'speech program' to change my GPS vehicle navigator into American English, British English, male or female, but my favorite is the voice of Yoda... but sometimes it's hard to follow the directions and steer the bike because I'm laughing too hard.

I've just reintroduced my sister to ereading again. When I got my Kindle I gave her my old Sony PRS605 and she used it only to read a couple of books on (since then she hasn't read many books anyway). Today I deregistered my Kindle Keyboard, set it back to factory defaults and just now we've registered it to her account, upgraded Calibre and I introduced her to Apprentice Alf. I also put some classics in Calibre and she's chosen a Jane Austen book for her first read. Hopefully she likes a Kindle better than the Sony.

She always had periods when she reads a lot, mostly series, and periods when she reads nothing. Lately she's been very busy with her dissertation and she has also recently discovered my dvd collection. Because of her interest in period drama tv series and films I recommended Austen. The Kindle is easier and more reliable than the Sony so chances are high she'll keep reading, especially when she discovers how easy it is to get her favourite series in the right order.

Right now, I'm wondering if our electric company will repair whatever caused the power outage, in the next 45 minutes as promised.

Picked up The Casual Vacancy and The Walking Dead Compendium 1 from Chapters earlier today. Trying to decide which one to delve into first before I go to bed. Decisions, decisions..
