After most who wanted to read the books have read them and after most people will have a pirated electronic edition already. Good business plan yep. I paid good money for HP7. I'm not paying again when there is a chance I may never read it again.

I bought HP7 and HP6 in May, then 2 weeks ago I bought HP 1-6 boxed set, all together £80~$150 (one HP6 spare ). A lot of money for me. It is a bit too late for them to announce ebooks now...
Maybe if I want to re-read HP in 10 years time I will buy the proper ebook versions but definitely not now. |

Perhaps that's a lot of the difference here: I will re-read them. In 10 years, I'll probably have re-read them a number of times.

Plus the fact that the HP series is, I think, destined to become a juvenile classic. Every year there will be a new "batch" of teenagers who whom it'll all be new.

i think i would purchase at least the latest harry potter in ebook format, just to support the format and send the message to other publishers.
re-purchasing of the first works i have on paper is definately out of the question. |

Since I am one of the few people who has not read the entire series and owns none of the books, I might be interested in purchasing some if not all of the books. I borrowed them from the library but might, just might, purchase ebook copies to send a message.

To be completely frank, I guess I would succumb to a whole ebook bandle...
