Development Using Calibre to manage eDGe library

I've just tried the latest 1.2.06. It does not produce any error messages and shows 0 of 0 books.

My process is: Mount the edge via the USB cable. Use Calibre to transfer books to the "Main Memory". "Eject this device" from inside Calibre. Verify the dismount on the Desktop OS. Unmount from Android. Start BIbliotheca.

Does that sound right?

Any other hints or configuration?

Sounds like it should be working okay.

I'm guessing that there is something in the metadata.calibre file that BIbliotheca is having issues with.

couild you send me the "metadata.calibre" file from the root of your SD card.

okay, I'm just looking at the metadata.calibre file in a text editor and I think I may have found the problem.

one of your book entries has a "thumbnail" entry. none of mine had this entry and I didn't know what format it would take. it is actually a number, followed by another number followed by a string, so that is probably why BIbliotheca is failing.

I'll try to have a look tonight at home and fix it.

I've run your file through my unit tests and now fixed the issues I found.

1.2.10 has been uploaded which now starts up with a sorted book list.

I have made BIbliotheca available through AndAppStore.
This will make it easier for people to keep updated about updates.

Thank you for all your effort, mrspaceman. I have been using the app for a while now and I must say that it has a added a great deal of functionality (along with Calibre).

Thanks for the support. It's nice to hear that people are actually using it.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know, I've just about run out of my own ideas (apart from making it look better with better looking icons etc...).

I have tried to use it, but Bibliotheca says it can't find metadata.calibre. I have downlaoaded that file, but have no clue how to install or use it. Do I use metadata.calibre on the edge, or on the pc and how?? Sounds stupid maybe, but I really don't know.

You need to mount the SD card of the eDGe to the PC. then you use Calibre to copy books onto the edge. Calibre will automatically create the metadata.calibre file and maintain it's content.
