In the browser on your eDGe, type the following in the address bar at the top of the browser: http://www.mediafire.com/?4or7i6bnoqzor36 and click the Go button. When the page appears you should see a "Click here to Download" link (you may need to wait a couple of seconds for the page to refresh with the downlaod link). Tap that and you should see it download, etc.
If this doesn't work, then you'll need to do that on your PC and email yourself the APK (or put it on a memory stick). |

Thank you for the information. I'll have to snag my pocket edge from my daughter who also loves to play on it. LOL

I'm not an owner of the EE, but I was possibly looking to buy one. Is there a way to use the Kindle app on the eInk side of the EE? I would love to have one device instead of two.

No, you can't use the Kindle app on the eInk side. You can only use it on the LCD side.

It's just not in the cards yet. While the Kindle app is a fairly standardized Android OS application, the eInk display and how it interacts with the operating system is unique. It would take either Amazon making a very special version of the app specially for the edge, or for entourage (or a very skilled and dedicated hacker) to somehow make an OS adjustment that enables certain kinds of apps to run on the eInk side. And eInk itself has natural limitations.

has anyone had a recent problem with the kindle app wanting you to log in again? I tried to log in and it will not accept the attempt. I have changed the password to make sure I was using the password.

Do you have a link from the latest version of the kindle app? The one you show is for version 2.00, the latest is 2.04.

The new Amazon app store has the latest version of both the kindle and kobo apps. Just needed to delete the old versions before installing the newer version, since I kept getting errors when I tried to download them on top of the old versions.
