Text adventure games on the Kindle

Is the Kindle/2/DX capable of running interactive fiction / text adventure games, like Infocom's Zork, etc.?
It just occured to me with a keyboard and e-ink display it might make for a good interactive fiction device

Someone would have to write an interpreter for the Kindle. There's no inherent reason why it can't be done, as far as I know.

An Infocom interpreter ported to the Kindle would be best. http://www.csd.uwo.ca/Infocom/interp.html you can see how portable the Infocom interpreter can be - just target the Kindle, somehow get it to run and bob's your uncle.
Frotz would make a great interpreter source. http://frotz.sourceforge.net/
I guess it's up to the Kindle hackers..

Kindle has a rudimentary web browser, right? easiest thing to do would be to set up a website type frontend for an interpreter. Easier than hacking the kindle.

Easier, but what about all the people that are not in a wireless service area?

I used to love those pick-a-path books when I was a kid. I'd love to see these kinds of books on the Kindle (I just bought 2 kindle 1s for my young cousins).

I think I have a few of them in storage under the house, I can dust those off but Kindle versions would be fantastic.
