Organizing books without librarian

As of July 2010, the eBookwise Librarian software is no longer available. I just found this out as I was getting ready to give the librarian a try. Are there other ways to organize books? I would really like to be able to have all books in one section, recipes in another and personal docs in a third. All of which I've uploaded myself so are for the most part in th Personal Documents section. Any Suggestions for organizing the Personal Documents section?
thanks.

I can't log into my personal content bookshelf right now so I don't know what features the bookshelf has but wonder if there is a choice when you upload to set genre. That would let you sort that way.

A clumsy but effective way would be to use a prefix on the title then sort alphabetically.

It's too bad about the Librarian, I prefer it to the software for the Rocket eBooks due to the ability to have multiple bookshelves.

It's been awhile since I've used impserv, you might give it a try. Look for it in a sticky at the top of this forum.
