Calibre conversion errors?

Hiya all i converted a series of books from Lit to Epub on calibre for my wife but she said when she furst tried to read it the reader had an episode turning itself on and off and pages jumping around, her sister had the same issue with the book i had converted.
Have i done something wrong in conversion?

open a ticket and attach the source file, its most likely something in the source file that the reader doesn't like. Also mention what version of calibre you used for the conversion

Hiya thanx for your fast reply, Iam not sure what version it was i used as its on my home pc. i have not had a problem wit other conversions,
What is the best format to change a lit to and what are the optimum settings?
